Anti Ragging Policy

Lichavi Institute of Professional Studies strictly follows a zero-tolerance policy against ragging.

What is Ragging?

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited inside and outside the campus. Strict disciplinary action is taken against anyone found violating this rule. Suspension and/or expulsion from the hostel/college may be the first action against the offender.

The Supreme Court of India has declared ragging as a criminal offense.

Definition of Student Ragging

Any conduct by a student, whether by spoken or written words or by actions, including:

  • Physical abuse or assault
  • Lewd acts or obscene activities
  • Teasing or rude treatment
  • Rowdy and undisciplined behavior
  • Psychological harassment
  • Creating fear or mental trauma in juniors
  • Forcing students to perform unwanted acts
  • Causing embarrassment, shame, or danger

Punishment Against Ragging

  • Immediate suspension
  • Expulsion from hostel/college
  • Police complaint and legal action
  • Cancellation of admission
Important: Students are advised to immediately report any ragging incident to the Anti-Ragging Committee.
